Garden Club |
|
The Forest Hills Garden Club was organized in 1998 by a group of
women with a shared interest in gardening. The organization
is not formal and does not elect officers, but the following
members assist in planning meetings and programs, and may be
contacted regarding membership:
MEMBERSHIP AND DUES
We collect dues of $25.00 each year. This money is
used to maintain the garden triangle at the corner of
Whittier and Santa Clara, designed by members and planted in
the spring of 2000. Our membership is open to anyone who
enjoys gardening. We choose a yard of the month several times a year to honor the efforts of our neighbors
to keep our community beautiful.
GARDEN CLUB MEETINGS
We meet on the first Thursday of the month in homes in the
neighborhood. Day and evening meetings are alternated. We do
not meet in July, August or December. Meetings begin at 10AM
or 7 PM and last for approximately two hours.
Topics are varied and have included discussions on shade
gardening, tree health, herbs, yoga for gardeners,
landscaping, caring for orchids, etc. We also plan field
trips that pertain to gardening.
